The need for more knowledge and information in areas of Agriculture and Fisheries Management in particular spurred the vision of Aquatech Fisheries Institute in the year 2004 by duo of Omidiran Ayobami and Olusola Taiwo, both at that time Ph.D students of Fisheries and practicing Aquaculturists.

Aquatech Institute of Fisheries Management (as it was referred to) was found 1st of March 2009. The need for broader knowledge in larger areas of Agriculture and Technology with attendant increases in Diploma courses mounted by the College.
The college runs a National Diploma in Agricultural Technology with Options in Animal Health and Production Technology Fisheries Technology
